How it works

Four simple steps, one you already know.

Set the event up onceOne screen: when it is, where it is, how many seats on each side, and what a ticket costs. It takes a couple of minutes.
Share one linkPeople buy a ticket and get a link to claim their seat. If you are running it free, share a six-character code instead, or hold up its QR at the door.
Run the night as you always havePair people up and run your rounds. After each date, one of the two scans the other's code, and both answer a single question on their phone.
Matches open by themselvesAt the time you picked. Only the pairs who both said yes see each other, with contact details. You get paid a day after the event, straight to your bank.

You pay when you sell a ticket

There is no subscription and no setup fee. If you never sell a ticket, Likewise never charges you anything.

You set the ticket price and we show you both numbers before anything goes on sale. Tickets start at $15.00. Card processing is included, and refunds give back the whole ticket, our share with it.

Trying it out is free

An event with 12 attendees or fewer costs nothing and needs no payment setup. Everything works exactly as it would at a paid event. Set a ticket price whenever you want more people in the room.

Most speed dating software bills a monthly subscription whether you run an event or not, and does not include ticketing, so you are paying a ticketing platform on top of it. With Likewise there is one thing to pay for, and it costs nothing until somebody buys a seat.

Nobody sees an answer but the person who gave it

Not the other attendee, and not you. People will only answer honestly if they believe that, and a match built on a polite answer is worth nothing to either of them.

A “no” and a date nobody got round to answering look identical from the other side. Nobody is told they were turned down.
Contact details are exchanged only when both people said yes, and only once matches open.
Your dashboard shows you who came and how the night is going. It never shows you an answer, a match, or anyone’s contact details, not even at an event you are attending yourself.

Attendees can change their mind right up until matches open, which is why the reveal is yours to schedule rather than instant.
